Opening in April 2025! What is Hotel "Danyuki Sapporo"?

Exterior of "Danyuki Sapporo"
Danyuki Sapporo is a 4-minute walk from Exit 6 of Hosui Susukino Station. Located in the Susukino area of Sapporo, the hotel is a 12-story building with 136 rooms.

The impressive reception area features earthen walls handcrafted by Hokkaido-born plasterer, Noda Shosuke.
Danyuki Sapporo was built with the concept of "FIFTH SEASON HOTELS," which offers special experiences by considering the climate and environment unique to each region as the "fifth season" in addition to the traditional Japanese four seasons. The period when Hokkaido transitions from winter to spring is considered the "fifth season," and the name expresses the sense of expectation, vitality, and beauty that is unique to that season.
From sauna-equipped rooms to family-style rooms, you can relax in a warm and relaxing atmosphere.

The interior has a Japanese atmosphere
As for the guest rooms, let's start with the "Premier Twin Room with Sauna" located on the Club Floor on the upper floors. The bright white-toned room has a warm feel to it, with soft lighting, wooden furniture, and artwork on the walls.

A desk that can be used for PC work as well as makeup and other preparations
Once inside, you'll find two 120cm-wide beds in an area of 39 square meters. There's also a desk large enough to spread out your PC, making it a comfortable place to stay even on a business trip.

A private sauna where you can feel at ease
There is a sauna in the room, so you can use it whenever you like without worrying about the time. Please relax to your liking with self-loyly.

There is also a chiller (cooling function) next to the bathtub.
The bathroom with washing area is also spacious and equipped with a chiller, so you can use the cold bath after the sauna.

The spacious bathroom is bright and well lit.
The bathroom space is also spacious. I was happy to find a Dyson hair dryer.
Now let's take a look at some of our other guest rooms!

Family Suite with an area of 62 square meters
The "Family Suite" has a loft bed and can accommodate up to six people. It also has a kitchen and living space, making it perfect for family vacations or group trips.

A washer/dryer is a great help when traveling with children
There is also a microwave and a washer/dryer, so you can feel like you are living there. It is also recommended for those staying multiple nights. (There is also a coin laundry on-site.)

You can spread out your luggage or relax on the sofa...it looks like you'll have a stress-free stay.
This is a four-person "suite with sauna" on a high floor. It is 63 square meters and has two 120cm wide beds and two sofa beds, so you can feel more than spacious.

A spacious and authentic sauna that you wouldn't expect to find inside a guest room
The spacious private sauna is perfect for a group trip, and it also comes with a bathtub and a relaxation space.

"Moderate Twin" is a perfect place for two to relax.
The "Moderate Twin" room, which can accommodate two people, is 20 square meters. It is a functional room with a two-seater sofa and a desk. The art on the walls adds an accent, and the simple design gives it a relaxing and warm feel.

A sofa bed (right) that can be used as a sofa for two people or as a bed for three people.
The 23m2 "Superior Twin" can accommodate three people. A 100cm wide sofa bed can be used as a third bed. In addition to the bathroom, there is also a washbasin in the room, which will come in handy especially when three people are staying.

The Premier Twin bathroom has a resort feel
For those who want to enjoy a special bath time in their room in addition to the large public bath, we recommend the "Premier Twin." It is located on the club floor on a high floor and is 43 square meters in size. The spacious bathroom is equipped with a rain shower and you can enjoy the artificial hot spring in a round bathtub.
Large bath and sauna designed by Kentaro Imai and Totonoe Oyakata

A sauna space that makes you feel like you're in the forest
The main features of Danyuki Sapporo are its well-equipped sauna and large bath. The sauna, designed by Totonoe Oyakata (master of relaxation), Dai Matsuo, wraps you in the scent of wood the moment you open the door. You might think that aromatherapy is burning, but it's actually the scent of old glass Western Red Cedar lining the walls. Climb the log steps to a bench that is more than 80 cm above the floor. The sauna, equipped with an auto-loyly, is warm all the way down to your feet, and you can enjoy the scent of wood as you relax.

The water temperature in the cold-looking bath was 16 degrees Celsius.
The walls of the adjacent cold bath are embedded with charcoal, and local materials are used throughout the sauna, such as Miiwa peridotite from Hidaka around the sauna stove and Sapporo soft stone on the exterior walls.

A large public bath where you can enjoy not only the sauna but also the hot springs
The large public bath has a comfortable, stylish and relaxing atmosphere with subdued lighting. Water is transported from hot springs in Sapporo, so you can enjoy natural hot springs.

The chairs are large and comfortable. Indirect lighting makes you feel relaxed.
The spacious Totonoi space is lined with custom-made, ergonomically designed wooden chairs. The cool outside air is comfortable, and it looks like a great place to experience the kind of "Totonoi" that is so typical of Sapporo.
At the end of the day, you can enjoy "Good Night Miso Ramen"

Topped with corn, green onions, and back fat for an accent
Also worth checking out is the "Good Night Miso Ramen," an evening treat that is available to all guests free of charge from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. This miso ramen has a strong miso flavor with a hint of fish powder, and is rich but has a clean aftertaste. The bowl is about the size of a large rice bowl, making it the perfect size to finish off a night of drinking. It's also perfect as a snack after a sauna.
A locally produced breakfast that lets you taste the rich cuisine of Hokkaido

Plenty of local delicacies. Soup curry is a must try.
As for breakfast, it is served buffet style in the restaurant on the second floor. It makes use of the abundant local ingredients and focuses on Hokkaido's dairy and livestock farming.

Colorful vegetables that are likely to become the main focus
At the entrance to the buffet, local vegetables were arranged like a flower garden. There were also dressings such as Hokkaido wasabi soy sauce, beetroot, and milk and honey dressings.

A corner of homemade bread with the wonderful aroma of freshly baked bread.
The hotel also offers a wide range of breads baked in-house every morning, including croissants, pain au chocolat, baguettes, and potato focaccia.

Cheese fondue in a Staub pot
They have a lot of ingredients that are typical of Hokkaido, such as milk, cheese, yogurt, eggs, bacon, sausage, etc. Rich cheese fondue, which is eaten with steamed vegetables and bread, is also popular.

Cute quail egg TKG
My personal recommendation for the local dish is TKG (raw egg on rice), made with quail eggs from Muroran. Topped with plenty of freshly shaved bonito flakes, it can be seasoned with your favorite soy sauce.
A lounge perfect for before or after the sauna or for snack time

Food menu changes depending on the time of day
Guests staying in the Sauna Suite, Sauna Premier Twin, or Premier Twin rooms can use the lounge on the 10th floor for free. In addition to snacks and baked goods, the lounge also offers a drink bar and alcohol.

Enjoy bite-sized sweets
You can also enjoy snacks such as donuts, muffins and coffee.

The restaurant is decorated with landscape photos of Hokkaido taken by photographer Kei Maeda.
The furniture arranged in the lounge is from Asahikawa's Conde House. The simple yet high-quality furniture allows you to feel the warmth of wood.
*If you are staying in a Superior Double, Moderate Twin, Superior Twin, Family Suite, or Universal room, the charge is 3,300 yen per person (tax included).

The entrance has a ryokan-like atmosphere.
Hotel Danyuki Sapporo opened in Susukino in April 2025. As the name suggests, this hotel offers the mysterious warmth that is unique to Hokkaido. Please enjoy the simple yet subtly high-quality rooms, as well as the well-equipped sauna and large public bath.
