What is "Asahikawa Confectionery Expo 2025"?

"Asahikawa Confectionery Expo 2025" is the 28th edition of the "National Confectionery Expo," Japan's largest confectionery event that brings together confectioneries from all over Japan, and will be held in Asahikawa, Hokkaido from May 30 to June 15, 2025. There will be lots of excitement related to confectioneries from all over Japan, including displays of craft confectioneries, a sweets market, and interactive booths that the whole family can enjoy.

At the main venue, Asahikawa Daisetsu Arena, there will be a "Large-scale Confectionery Exhibition." Approximately 90 exquisite confections made from rice flour, sugar, chocolate, and other materials will be on display to welcome visitors.

Additionally, a spectacular 360° projection mapping will be shown in the white dome inside the venue. Enjoy the immersive experience of being surrounded by the gigantic exhibit.

Located across the road from the main venue, the Asahikawa Local Industry Promotion Center's National Sweets Market has a huge selection of sweets from all over Japan! From regional sweets to popular sweets and historic confections, the wide lineup is a must-see for sweet lovers. Be sure to try out some of the sweets you normally can't find, as well as new and limited edition items.

There are lots of events outside the venue too! Sweets Family Land Hokkaido, where major confectionery manufacturers exhibit, is full of experiences that both adults and children can enjoy. You can learn how to make sweets through games and experiences, and meet popular characters from each manufacturer.

At the outdoor booth "Northern Land Gourmet Corner," you can enjoy a wide selection of Hokkaido gourmet food and sweets! You can enjoy delicious freshly made food in the eating and drinking area. In addition to a wide lineup of food stalls such as soft serve ice cream, event-only sweets, Asahikawa ramen, and local beer, there are also food trucks that change daily. If you get tired from walking around the venue, why not take a break and enjoy some delicious food?
