Sapporo "Shime Parfait" Tour (3): CAFE NOYMOND - Perfect for a Date with Luxurious Naganuma Ice Cream Parfaits
Excellent Access! A Great Location Just Steps from Tanukikoji and Susukino
Look for the distinctive white building on the corner
CAFE NOYMOND is located at South 3 West 2, Chuo-ku, Sapporo. You'll find it on the second floor of a white building facing an intersection. It's close to the Tanukikoji Shopping Arcade and about a 3-minute walk from Susukino Station, making it an easy stop for a "shime parfait" after dinner. Another great point is that it opens at 1 p.m. While there's often a line on weekends, it's relatively quiet before 4 p.m. on weekdays, so you have a better chance of getting in without a wait and choosing your favorite seat.
Open the entrance door and head up the stairs to the second floor. A tonkatsu (pork cutlet) restaurant is on the first floor.
White walls with natural-style interior
The space feels open and airy with high ceilings, and the simple decor is warmed by wooden accents.
Table seating along the wall
There are 28 seats in total. In addition to four-person tables, there's a spacious sofa seat where groups of five or six can sit together, and the two-person seats by the window look cozy. There is a one-order-per-person policy.

The Classic and Wildly Popular "Strawberry Parfait"
The timeless classic "Strawberry Parfait" for 1,540 yen
Opening the menu, you'll find a lineup of popular parfaits like the strawberry and pistachio. There's a wide variety, and they all look delicious. You order directly from the staff, so you can easily ask questions about the parfait ingredients. I ordered the "Strawberry Parfait," which is a perennial favorite regardless of the season. It's bursting with cuteness, with bright red strawberries piled on top of pink gelato.
A cute visual that's all about strawberries
It features three types of gelato: strawberry, white chocolate, and milk. The gelato, made with 100% fresh Hokkaido milk, is rich and has a distinct milky flavor.
Shiratama dumplings hidden at the bottom of the glass
As you eat your way through the cold gelato, you'll discover feuillantine with a delightful crispy texture, custard cream, strawberry sauce, and shiratama (rice flour dumplings). At NOYMOND, most parfaits, except for the liqueur-based ones, contain shiratama. It's satisfyingly filling, making it a great treat when you're a little hungry.
If we were to categorize parfaits into "gelato-style" (piled high with ice cream and sorbet), "fruit-style" (starring seasonal fruits), and "dessert-style" (loaded with cake, crumble, and cream), NOYMOND would fall into the "gelato-style" category. It's highly recommended for those who absolutely love delicious ice cream and want to eat a lot of it!
Get a Drink Set for a Reasonable +200 Yen
The Strawberry Parfait and Kuro-sengoku-cha tea set
We recommend getting a drink set with your parfait for an additional 200 yen. It's a great deal, costing less than half the price of ordering a drink separately. You can choose from coffee (hot/ice), black tea (hot/ice), Kuro-sengoku-cha (hot/ice), orange juice, or apple juice.
Kuro-sengoku-cha served in cute, nostalgic Japanese-style teaware
A unique menu item at NOYMOND is the organic Kuro-sengoku-cha. It's a rare tea made from "Kuro-sengoku soybeans," a type of black soybean native to Hokkaido. The production of these soybeans, primarily grown in the Tokachi region, drastically decreased due to cultivation difficulties. They were once thought to be extinct, but were revived in the 2000s when the original seeds were discovered. Thanks to the efforts of producers, we can now enjoy this delicious tea. The warm Kuro-sengoku-cha, with its gentle, nutty aroma, pairs perfectly with a cold parfait. It has a comforting and delicious taste.
If you'd like an alcoholic beverage with your parfait, we recommend ordering a sour or a beer instead of the drink set. They have an extensive beer selection, including Guinness, Heineken, Hoegaarden, and Otaru Beer.
A Wide Variety Including the "White Parfait" and "Liqueur Parfait"
The "White Parfait" and "Liqueur Parfait" in their cute glasses
Besides the strawberry parfait, Noymond offers a variety of other cute and delicious parfaits. Let me introduce two others I've tried before. On the left in the photo is the "White Parfait" (1,540 yen), and on the right is the "Liqueur Parfait" (1,540 yen).
Three types of gelato and cream, all white, white, white
The "White Parfait" is adorable with its pure white appearance, reminiscent of Sapporo's snow. True to its name, it's white from top to bottom. The glass is filled with milk pudding and shiratama, creating a smooth and gentle flavor. The three scoops of white gelato on top each have a different flavor: white chocolate, milk, and Okhotsk salt. This parfait is perfect for those who want to fully savor a generous amount of gelato.
The melt-in-your-mouth gelato is accented by tart fruits
The "Liqueur Parfait" (1,540 yen) is beautiful with its vibrant colors. Although the alcohol content isn't strong, please note that minors cannot order it. It's refreshing and has a light feel, much like a frozen cocktail. The gelato topping is Niagara from "Otaru Jozo," and inside the glass are orange and sangria gelatos. It's a great choice after a rich meal like ramen or on a hot day.
Look for the menu sign outside the shop that says "Sapporo Shime Parfait"
CAFE NOYMOND offers a wide variety of parfaits, including limited-time items, giving you plenty to choose from. The reasonable prices are also a major draw, with a popular parfait and drink set available for under 2,000 yen. It's a place you'll want to visit again and again.
