Still active after retirement! Impa-kun, a former racehorse living in Sapporo

The video shows Impa-kun, a retired racehorse who lives at Makomanai Riding Club in Sapporo, Hokkaido. Of the 22 horses at Makomanai Riding Club where Impa-kun lives, 18 are retired racehorses. They are active in a wide range of activities, from trial rides and school lessons for beginners to full-scale lessons aimed at competing in full-scale equestrian competitions.

So, was Impah able to eat the grass? When we spoke to Nakagaki of Makomanai Riding Club, he said, "I think he was able to eat it because he was nibbling on the grass!" Furthermore, Impah will be competing in an equestrian event to be held at Northern Horse Park in Tomakomai City in June 2025, and Nakagaki said, "I think he will do his best using the energy he gets from the grass."
