Enthralled by the pure white, fluffy snow! Children and Snow in Kaminokuni-cho" etc. [Hokkaido Mirai Note (48)

The "Hokkaido Mirai Notebook" is a collection of Hokkaido's scenery that we want to leave for the future.
Here are three of our favorites from among the wonderful Hokkaido landscapes photographed and submitted by our readers!

Snow and children in Kaminokuni-cho

Kaminokuni-cho, southern Hokkaido. With the snow falling, parents and children had a lot of fun rolling around in the snow and making snow mountains.
This is a town where children born and raised in such a snowy country can enjoy this season in the future and even as adults.

A word from the Domingo editorial team
The sun shining on the snowflakes looks like it's having a lot of fun!
Snow is a great tool to play with, whether it's building a snowman, a snow hut, a rice sled, or a snowball fight, you can never get enough of it!
The Domingo editorial team has recently become addicted to photographing snowflakes. It is interesting to see the different shapes depending on the temperature, humidity, wind strength, etc!

Snowfield and footprints in Fukagawa City

I found a beautiful, calming scene in the hills in the early morning. I wonder what adventures the owner of the endless footprints is having right now.

A word from the Domingo editorial team
This is a very nice picture that allows us to feel the grandeur of nature while imagining the owner of the footprints!
By observing the tracks left in the snow, you can read the strength and speed of the footsteps, the direction and strength of the wind, and the changes in temperature over the course of the day. When it falls heavily, it is hard to shovel snow and drive, but we would like to discover new ways to enjoy the snow.

Kushiro City Trains and Bridges

It's exciting to see the train powering through the swaying lotus leaf ice over and over again.

A word from the Domingo editorial team
The contrast between the powerful train, the railroad track, and the delicate ice on the Kushiro River is very beautiful!
The word "lotus leaf ice" means "lotus leaf ice" in Japanese, which means that the edges of the ice are rolled up due to the collision of ice blocks, and lotus leaves are floating everywhere. The Domingo editorial staff would like to see this beautiful scenery that can only be seen here with our own eyes!
