1 The famous Night Bargain starts at 5:00 PM on Saturday, July 26th! The 72nd Tanuki Festival

This is a historic summer festival held in the Tanukikoji Shopping Arcade. During the famous "Night Bargain," various events take place in each block from 1-chome to 7-chome. Enjoy everything from the signature 200-yen beer to park golf, can-stacking games, raffles, and live music, with fun for all ages. Plus, numerous food stalls and once-a-year special deals make the Night Bargain an exciting experience.

Furthermore, the "Tanuki Hattoku Grand Festival" will be held on August 2nd. The festival features performances of Tanuki-daiko drums, as well as children's and adult's portable shrines parading through the shopping arcade. Come and enjoy this iconic summer sight in Tanukikoji.

The Bon Odori event at "Akapla," located right in front of the Former Hokkaido Government Office Building (Akarenga) and just a short walk from Sapporo Station, is back again this year! Enjoy a luxurious Bon Odori experience with live music from the "Sapporo Hachigatsu-sai Special Big Band," a group of selected local artists, featuring guest musician Otomo Yoshihide, known for his work on the NHK drama "Amachan."
