[2025 Update] 6 Delicious Sweets from Sapporo Autumn Fest | Hokkaido Desserts to Try in Odori Park

Sapporo Autumn Fest 2025 (September 12th to October 4th) is being held in Odori Park, Sapporo. This huge food festival brings together delicious food from all over Hokkaido, but sweets are particularly popular! From soft serve ice cream and parfaits to eye-catching sweets, we've selected six recommended desserts that you should definitely try at the venue.

4th-Chome venue: Yotsuba Milk Stand soft serve ice cream

"Yotsuba Soft Serve Ice Cream" (350 yen)

Located in the northeastern area of the 4th-chome venue, which can be said to be the entrance to the Autumn Fest, Yotsuba Milk Stand is a popular spot that attracts many visitors. We recommend the simple yet deeply delicious Yotsuba Soft Serve Ice Cream (350 yen).

Simple is best deliciousness

The small cup size makes it a great size for the Autumn Fest, when you want to try a variety of things that catch your eye. It has a rich milk flavor and a gentle sweetness, and leaves a satisfying yet clean aftertaste. It allows you to experience once again the deliciousness of Hokkaido dairy products.

5th Street Venue: "Mikazuki" Millepresse

Mikazuki

"Millepresse" (850 yen). This is available until September 24th.

At the 5th-Chome venue, Mikazuki, a croissant specialty shop from Shinhassamu, Sapporo, is setting up shop for the third year in a row. The "Freshly squeezed Mont Blanc Parfait" (1,000 yen) is a very popular menu item, but we also recommend the "Millepressé" (850 yen), which can be easily eaten with one hand.

Filled with strawberries that overflow

This dessert is made by sandwiching sliced strawberries and custard cream between thin, crispy pastry. It's not too sweet and has a pleasant light texture, so I finished it in no time. Mikazuki's stall will be open until September 25th (Thursday), during the Autumn Fest, so be sure to get there early.

6th Street Venue: "Remake easy" Parfait

Remake easy

All three types of parfaits are 1,500 yen

At 6-chome, the members-only, secretly-addressed parfait bar "Remake easy" will be serving parfaits for the second time, following its first appearance in 2024. The three parfaits, "Strawberry Flower Garden Parfait," "Furano Melon and Sake Crème d'Anjou Parfait," and "Peach and Cacao Pulp Chocolate Parfait" (1,500 yen each), are spectacular when lined up, making them a great choice for a girls' get-together.

These three types will be available until September 22nd in the first half of the period.

You can enjoy the changing textures of the plentiful fruit and rich ice cream, as well as crumble and meringue, and pair each one with a cocktail. The menu will change between the first and second halves of the Autumn Fest, and these three varieties will be available until Monday, September 22nd. A new menu will be available from Tuesday, September 23rd to Saturday, October 4th, so you can look forward to returning.

6th Street: Fresh donuts from "Cafe de Spice"

Cafe de Spice

"Fresh donuts" (450 yen)

Next up is the "Fresh Donuts" (450 yen) from Cafe de Spice, also located in 6-chome. Cafe de Spice, located near Nijo Market, is popular for its spicy soup curry and curry with roux, as its name suggests, but you should also check out their fresh donuts, which are made with wheat and raw milk from Hokkaido.

Cafe de Spice

When you cut it open, you'll find plenty of cream inside!

The outside is crispy, the inside is fluffy, and it's filled with cool, smooth cream. Both the dough and the cream melt in your mouth and have a pleasant taste. The sweetness is surprisingly mild, so I was able to eat it all the way to the end without getting bored. It's light yet satisfying, making it the perfect snack for when you're feeling a little hungry.

7th Street Venue: "Parfait, Coffee, Sake, Sato" Parfait

Parfait, coffee, sake, Sato

The "Parfait, Coffee, Sake, Sato" parfait is so cute you'll want to take a photo of multiple of them lined up.

Be sure to check out "Parfait, Coffee, Sake, Sato," a popular shop that is a leader in Sapporo's "shime-parfait" culture. The "Pistachio and Strawberry" (photo left/1,300 yen), which is full of Sato's signature flavor, is filled with caramel sauce, soft serve ice cream, granola, apple jelly, and more, making it quite filling. "Pumpkin, Chestnut, and Grape" (photo right/1,300 yen) is literally filled with candied chestnuts, pumpkin Mont Blanc, cassis sauce, and black tea jelly, giving it an autumnal flavor.

"Hokkaido Soft Cream Bear Fruit" (650 yen)

We also recommend the "Hokkaido Soft Cream Bear Fruits" (650 yen), which is smaller and easier to eat than a parfait. The bear monaka topping has no ingredients, so you can fill it with your choice of soft cream or fruit.

8th Block Venue: Handsome Yaki from Date City

Handsome Yaki

"Handsome Yaki" (100 yen each) sold with the call, "How about some handsome?"

At the Sapporo Odori Hokkaido Market in 8th Street, where municipalities and organizations from across Hokkaido gather, we recommend Date City's Handsome Yaki (100 yen). Handsome Yaki, which is usually sold at places like the Date Rekishi no Mori Roadside Station, is a sweet treat similar to oyaki. Its cute and laid-back appearance makes it popular.

Handsome Yaki

Corn cream flavor with plenty of corn chunks

They come in three palm-sized flavors, each priced at a reasonable 100 yen. In addition to the two standard flavors of bean paste and cream, there's also the seasonal "corn cream" flavor, which is slightly sweet and contains chunks of corn, giving it an autumnal taste. Recommended for when you want a snack that's not too sweet.
