A photo that makes you feel warmth from the soft light glowing in the cold, clear air!
Shimokawa Town is said to be the birthplace of ice candles, and this year marked the 47th holding of the Shimokawa Ice Candle Museum.
This magical experience is only possible in this town, in this season. I'd love to go next winter!
The Beautiful Lake Mashu in Teshikaga Town
Lake Mashu is beautiful in any season, but the view from the outer rim of the caldera, which you can only reach by snowshoeing in winter, is truly special♪
This year, I was able to see the frozen lake surface for the first time in two years, and it was amazing.

A beautiful shot that captures a winter world of white and blue as far as the eye can see!
Lake Mashu boasts the clearest water in Japan, and its frozen surface reveals a different face than in summer.
It's a place I want to visit again and again in different seasons.
The Ezo Kuroten (Hokkaido Sable) of Shintoku Town
An Ezo kuroten peeking its head out of the snow.
It's so adorable.

A shot where you could get lost in those perfectly round, clear eyes!
The Ezo kuroten is a member of the weasel family, and despite its adorable appearance, it's actually a carnivore. They are said to be swift hunters...!
It's rare to encounter an Ezo kuroten, but I'd love to see those eyes with my own just once!
