The newly opened flagship store, Patagonia Sapporo, is a consolidation of two previous stores: the Sapporo North Store, which opened in 1994, and the Sapporo South Store, which opened in 2003. It is conveniently located about a 5-minute walk from Sapporo Station, on the first floor of the Hulic Square Sapporo building, which is directly connected to the Sapporo Ekimae-dori Underground Walkway (Chi-Ka-Ho).

Experience the Essence of Patagonia, from Art to Protecting Hokkaido's Nature
The in-store gallery. Currently exhibiting works by photographer Takeshi Mizukoshi.
While the store offers a vast selection of items for a leisurely shopping experience, what's truly impressive is how it's a space where you can feel the worldview of Patagonia, rather than just a place to buy things.
At the store's entrance, there is a gallery, which for the opening is exhibiting works by photographer Takeshi Mizukoshi. The photos of Hokkaido's magnificent nature are sure to provide plenty of inspiration. The gallery plans to hold seasonal exhibitions of works related to Hokkaido's nature and culture.
The wood carving in front of the register is by Kohei Fujito, an artist based in Ainu Kotan.
The store's interior, conscious of Hokkaido's nature and culture, features Sapporo soft stone on its facade, and certified Hokkaido wood and reclaimed timber for its tables, checkout counter, and flooring. Despite being a brand-new store on the first floor of a modern building, it exudes a sense of history that Patagonia has built over the years.
Inside the fitting rooms, you'll find hanger racks with art designs of mountains, rivers, and the sea by Kohei Fujito, and nature photography by Takeshi Mizukoshi.
Throughout the store, you'll find photos capturing Hokkaido's great outdoors, like Mount Tomuraushi and the ice bubbles of Lake Shikotsu, as well as sculptures inspired by mountains, rivers, and the sea. Even the fitting rooms are decorated with photos and art themed around these natural elements.

True to Patagonia's commitment to protecting our beautiful planet, there is also a corner that shares information and reports on the activities of grantees, to whom the company donates 1% of its sales.

A Repair Booth to Keep Your Favorite Gear in Use for Years to Come
The Worn Wear Repair Booth where you can bring your beloved items.
At the back of the store, there is a Worn Wear Repair Booth, equipped with various parts and sewing machines. Here, you can get lessons on maintenance and self-repair, or have simple repairs done on the spot. Patagonia products are built to last, but if you run into any issues like a broken part, you can easily bring it here and consult with the staff.
Patagonia Sapporo is a place where you can feel the brand's essence everywhere you look, chat with knowledgeable and experienced staff, and enjoy the visit itself as an experience beyond just shopping. Whether you're a long-time Patagonia fan or new to the brand, be sure to stop by.
