1 Hokkaido University's Sprawling Campus Transforms into a Festival Venue! The 68th Hokudai Festival with Food Stalls, Live Music, and More

The "Hokudai Festival" is a classic early summer event in Sapporo, held on the vast Sapporo campus of Hokkaido University. The festival is composed of ten smaller festivals from each faculty and department of the university. It features a wide variety of events, including the Yuryo Festival, where first-year students and student clubs run food stalls, as well as festivals by each faculty and department showcasing their research and unique projects. There's also an "International Food Festival" where international students serve dishes from their home countries.

The festival offers programs for all ages, including live stage performances, a haunted house, a stamp rally, and puzzle-solving games. You can enjoy the unique atmosphere of a university festival by strolling through the campus while tasting delicious food or visiting the exhibits of faculties that pique your interest.

2 First Time in Hokkaido for the 2026 Version! A Huge Collection of Exclusive Miffy Goods at the "Miffy Zakka Festa"

The popular Miffy merchandise event, "Miffy Zakka Festa," is coming to Daimaru Sapporo. This highly anticipated event is the first time the new 2026 version will be held in Hokkaido, featuring over 800 items, including event-exclusives. 3 Gourmet Food and Stage Events! An Interactive Market Themed Around Sapporo's Flower, the Lily of the Valley: "SAPPORO SUZURAN MARCHE"

This is an interactive event themed around the lily of the valley, the official flower of Sapporo. The venue, the garden space of the Former Hokkaido Government Office Building (Akarenga), will feature photo spots inspired by lilies of the valley, as well as booths where you can experience fragrance making, try on traditional Japanese clothing (waso), and discover the unique charms of Sapporo. You can also savor gibier cuisine made with Ezo deer.

The stage will host a diverse program, including dance performances, live shows by local idols, a student fashion show, and a karaoke competition. In the evening, there will be performances by impersonators and a unique show combining a DJ Bon Odori dance with YOSAKOI, ensuring the venue is buzzing with excitement all day long.
