1 Hokkaido University's Sprawling Campus Transforms into a Festival! Enjoy Food Stalls, Live Music, and More at the 68th Hokudai Festival

The "Hokudai Festival" is a classic early summer event in Sapporo, held on the vast Sapporo Campus of Hokkaido University. The festival is composed of ten smaller festivals from each faculty and department of the university. It features a wide variety of activities, including the Yuryosai, where first-year students and club organizations run food stalls, as well as faculty-specific festivals showcasing research presentations and projects. Don't miss the "International Food Festival," where international students serve dishes from their home countries.

The festival offers a program that people of all ages can enjoy, with live stages, a haunted house, a stamp rally, and puzzle-solving games. It's a unique university festival experience where you can stroll through the campus while enjoying delicious food or explore the exhibits of faculties that pique your interest.

2 The 2026 Version's Hokkaido Debut! Find Exclusive Miffy Goods at the "Miffy Zakka Festa"

The popular Miffy merchandise event, "Miffy Zakka Festa," is coming to Daimaru Sapporo. This highly anticipated event is the first time the new 2026 version will be held in Hokkaido, featuring over 800 items, including event-exclusive goods. Many items, such as the apple-apron mascot, chenille towel handkerchiefs, and heat-resistant glass mugs, are only available here.

There will also be photo spots that capture the event's "red" theme, featuring apple patterns and more, allowing you to enjoy taking memorable photos along with your shopping. Additionally, during the event period, customers who spend ¥3,300 or more (including tax) will receive a free original wrapping paper.

3 Gourmet Food and Stage Performances! Experience the "SAPPORO SUZURAN MARCHE," a Market Themed After Sapporo's City Flower

This is a hands-on event themed around the "suzuran" (lily of the valley), the official flower of Sapporo. The venue, the garden space of the Former Hokkaido Government Office Building (Akarenga), will feature lily of the valley-themed photo spots, as well as booths where you can experience fragrance making, try on traditional Japanese clothing (waso), and discover other unique charms of Sapporo. You can also savor gibier cuisine made with Ezo deer.

The stage will host a diverse program, including dance performances, live shows by local idols, a student fashion show, and a karaoke competition. In the evening, there will be performances by impressionist entertainers and a unique show fusing a DJ Bon Odori with YOSAKOI, ensuring a lively atmosphere throughout the day.
