1. Fantasy created by fireflies grown in hot spring water "Mole Onsen Dream Firefly Viewing (Otoe Town)

You can see dream fireflies growing in the streams created by people's passionate efforts to revive the Heike fireflies at Tokachigawa Onsen, the first place in Japan where 100% hot spring water is used. It is said that the Yume Fireflies grown in the excellent quality of the mall hot spring water have a longer luminescence period than other Heike Fireflies.

2. "Firefly Weekend (Tsurui Village)" to learn about the ecology of fireflies flying around the marshland

The Onnenai Visitor Center in Tsurui Village, which hosts the "Firefly Weekend," offers lectures on the mysterious ecology and habitat of the Hayake fireflies that live in the Kushiro Wetlands. Guided tours are also available, so you can learn about the unique drama of fireflies in the Kushiro Marsh.

3. "Firefly Appreciation Party (Hidaka Town)": Light reflected on a natural river

This is a firefly viewing event held as part of the Okotan River Natural Environment Conservation and Restoration Project. No registration is required. (Cancelled in case of rain.) Please enjoy the fantastic light of fireflies.

4. Fireflies are spectacular to see in the vast land! Shiraoi Town, Shiraoi Sendai Camp Site Firefly Watching Event

The historical park on the site of the Shiraoi Sendai han (Sendai domain) camp completed at the end of the Edo period is now designated as one of the largest historical sites in Hokkaido, and the sight of fireflies in the vast expanse of land is spectacular. Fireflies seen in this vast expanse of land are a spectacular sight. Fireflies seen after learning about the history of the former camp at the adjoining museum will look even more different.
