From GAKU, famous for its risotto and parfaits, comes the new "Shortcake Can" and "Fuwa Can" from their pâtisserie OKASHI GAKU, which opened in July. These clear cans are filled with cake made with plenty of fresh cream from Hokkaido. It might look like a cleverly designed package, but what you're seeing through the can is the actual fruit and cream inside.

2. Meat Shop Ito "Meat Vending Area" (Otaru)

You can now buy meat from Meat Shop Ito, a butcher known for its super spicy offal "Gekikara nan DEATH," from a vending machine. They also have a "Niku-mikuji" (meat fortune) where you can win the popular Hidaka Wagyu beef, as well as limited-quantity special items, so be sure to stop by. It's great that you can buy meat anytime, whether it's early in the morning before a BBQ or late at night on your way home.

3. Le Monde "'Nani Kore?!' Vending Machine" (Rumoi)

Located at the entrance of Michi-no-Eki (Roadside Station) Rumoi is the "'Nani Kore?!' (What is this?!) Vending Machine." It sells sweets from "Le Monde, the confectionery shop in the town of sunsets," which has a store in the city. You'll find fun and fascinating items like the "Super Hard Pudding" that won't fall out even if you shake it upside down, as well as products from other shops like dashi stock and herring roe with spicy mayonnaise.
