What kind of town is Pippu?

Pippu-cho is located in the Kamikawa Basin in the middle of Hokkaido.

Various farmers produce delicious rice, strawberries, radishes, pumpkins, and sugar beets in summer, cucumbers and mizuna in fall, green onions in winter and spring, and maitake mushrooms, nameko mushrooms, and kikurage mushrooms all year round.
Pibu Town is also a treasure trove of food, with poultry farms producing "Kappa no Ken Eggs," a brand of eggs.

1 NANA PLAZA

A direct sales shop offering delicious food products from Pibu.
You will find many delicious items such as omusubi made with delicious rice, smoothies using local Pippu strawberries, strawberry soft serve, and more!
The store was started in August 2018 by five farmers in Pibu Town, and sells fresh vegetables purchased from farmers not only in Pibu Town but also in the neighborhood, as well as specially grown rice produced with great care.

The interior of the store, decorated in a way that only a farmer can, is very unique and fun!

2 Strawberry, Kaori and Confectionery Shop

This confectionery store was opened with the aim of spreading the use of strawberries, a specialty of Pibu Town.
The cakes are carefully made one by one by the store manager Kaori, who honed her skills as a pastry chef at a famous store for more than 10 years.
The cakes sold at Strawberry, Kaori and Confectionery are all starring strawberry cakes, a specialty of Pibu Town. The cakes have a refined taste with a moderate sweetness so that you can fully enjoy the sweetness, tartness, and aroma of strawberries.
The most recommended item is the "Rice-flour Strawberry Roll / 450 yen (tax not included)!

From November to April, we use precious winter strawberries "Benihoppe" that we started growing this season.
In addition, specially cultivated rice "Yumepirika" from our own farm with 50% less pesticide use is also used, resulting in a soft and fluffy, gentle flavor.

The company operates this diner in order to provide many customers with delicious food grown in Pibu Town and neighboring municipalities.

The name of the restaurant comes from "Sommelier of Agriculture.
