Sapporo Scenic Byway Moiwa Mountain Foothills and Jozankei Route
Located in the southwest of Sapporo, 30 to 60 minutes from the city center, it has good transport access and is an attractive area where the rich environment and the lives of the people who live here harmonize, offering historical experiences from the pioneering era to the Olympics, learning experiences at art museums, workshops, science museums, and universities, and experiences in the magnificent natural surroundings of mountains over 1,000 meters above sea level, hot springs, and national parks, including camping, skiing, canoeing, horseback riding, forest walks, and fruit picking.

1 Scenic Cafe Hakkenzan Kitchen & Marche
While looking out over Mt. Hakkenzan and the vineyards, you can enjoy dishes made with an abundance of locally-grown ingredients. At the Marche, you can purchase vegetables delivered every morning from local farmers, wines that Hakkenzan Winery is proud of, and processed foods. Please enjoy the things you can only buy and eat here, and the scenery that can only be seen here.

2 Night view from Sapporo Mount Moiwa Ropeway
If you take the ropeway to the top of Mount Moiwa, which is 531 meters above sea level, you can see the night view of Sapporo city, which has been selected as one of the "New Top Three Night Views of Japan," from the observation deck at the top of the mountain. In particular, in the clear air of Hokkaido in winter, the lights and illuminations of Sapporo city shine even more beautifully. At the restaurant "The Jewels" at the top of the mountain, you can enjoy this night view and Hokkaido French cuisine at the same time.

3 Wild Mustangs Horseback Riding
A facility where you can enjoy western-style horse riding at the foot of Mt. Hakkenzan. Staff dressed as sheriffs will teach you the basics of horse riding, so even beginners can enjoy the experience with peace of mind. After the lesson inside the facility, you can enjoy trekking on an outside course led by staff. Why not try horse trekking in the great outdoors?

4 Bonfire experience at Jozankei Nature Village in Sapporo
This is an outdoor education facility where people of all ages can experience nature and engage in outdoor activities throughout the seasons. In addition to tent sites, there are also permanent cottages and tent houses, and a wide range of rental items are available, including bonfire stands and BBQ sets. There are also plenty of experience programs that allow you to learn about nature while having fun, such as rice cooker cooking and stone oven cooking, all led by guide staff. We also recommend the bonfire experience in winter!

5 Sapporo Art Park
There are facilities scattered throughout the area, including an indoor museum that holds special exhibitions, an outdoor museum where you can enjoy sculptures in a natural setting, and a workshop where you can participate in craft experiences. In addition to enjoying nature walks, seasonal events are also held. The photo shows Dani Karavan's "The Path to the Hidden Garden" located inside the outdoor museum. Please enjoy appreciating art in the natural setting.
