Benten Island, located between tunnels, which we visited during our trip.

Bentenjima Island is located across from Saihae Beach in Tomari Village and is close to Shakotan, where you can see the beautiful Shakotan blue sea!
It is also called the Island of Legend, and is said to be a power spot for women who wish to have a child and for those who seek a good marriage.
It would be nice to see it from the car on the drive.
Aged salmon toba (Otaru City)
In autumn, salmon is exposed to the cold wind and dried to make salmon toba.
The fat is added and the taste is packed full of flavor!
It's a Hokkaido thing in the fall!

There is a theory that salmon toba started when the Ainu people dried salmon, and that toba is called "Fuyuba" (winter leaf) because it was dried in winter.
It can be said that it is a tradition in Hokkaido as we head into winter!
You can almost smell the salmon toba just by looking at the photo ✨.
Horomai Station (Minami Furano Town), the setting of the movie
This station was used as "Horomai Station" in the movie "Railroad Man (Poppoya)" and was closed due to the typhoon in 2016.
I love the slightly sad atmosphere that makes you think that trains are still coming to the station!
