"PLACE1" is a public-private partnership event that explores new urban development possibilities through music, sports, and talks on a vacant lot in Odori Nishi 1-chome, Chuo-ku, Sapporo. As a platform to think about the future of Sapporo, visitors can enjoy a variety of contents including professional basketball, street dance, and live music for free.Held on November 2 and 3, anyone can participate in this event and experience a new way of utilizing public space in Sapporo.

<What is PLACE1? ＞
Utilizing a vacant lot in Odori Nishi 1-chome, Chuo-ku, Sapporo, "PLACE1" is an event that proposes new ways to use public space through music, sports, and talk sessions. This event brings together various cultures and ideas as a place where the public and private sectors cooperate to create the future of the city together.

■Live Music
For two days, artists living in or from Hokkaido will gather for free live performances. Performers include KOHAKU, berry meet, Fish and Lips, The Hurry's, The Floor, tacica, memetour, and many other up-and-coming bands that are sure to attract music fans.

3x3 Basketball
EXE, a 3x3 professional basketball team, will be invited to play an exhibition match against the U15 Selected Team. This is a rare opportunity to watch a speedy and exciting 3-man basketball game. There will also be a workshop combining basketball and English, making this an event that even inexperienced players can enjoy.

■Talk Session
On November 2, a talk session on the use of public space in Sapporo will be held to discuss future urban development through cooperation between the government and the private sector. Experts and citizens will participate in this event to share the possibilities and challenges of co-creation.

■Street Dance
On November 3, a breaking stage will be held with the cooperation of SOUL WAVE STREET DANCE STUDIO, a long-established street dance studio in Sapporo, and a powerful performance will take place.
