The Otaki International Ski Marathon is held every year in early February in Otaki Ward, Date City, to promote health through cross-country skiing (walking skiing) and to spread awareness of the beauty and grandeur of nature in Otaki Ward, such as the white, glistening peaks of Mt. The event is held every year in early February on a permanent course around the Otaki Sports Park.
