Lake Komuke and the Komuke Primeval Flower Garden are located about 20km from the center of Monbetsu city towards Abashiri. In the surrounding area, you will find the trailer house "Tori-mi-goya," where visitors can watch wild birds and where bird information and guides are posted, the "Mimuro Banya," which was a lodging and work hut for fishermen during the Showa era, and a popular campsite that can be used in the summer. This activity, based around the campsite, allows you to experience the charm of Lake Komuke and the Primeval Flower Garden in a different light than during the green season, with drift ice washing up on the shore, birds flying freely over the frozen lake, and animals imagining themselves from footprints.

The winter-only sightseeing bus "Galiya-go" will take participants to the site. (The bus fare is included in the price.) You can also board the bus from the bus terminal, tourist facilities, and hotels along the way. After the activity tour is over, you can return to your hotel or bus terminal after touring the tourist facilities, so you can enjoy the charm of Monbetsu all day long.
