AOAO SAPPORO will be holding a special experience program, "Cemetery Glaucoma Courtship Talk," on Monday, February 24, 2025, as a collaboration with the currently running special exhibition, "Aquarium of Love: What Should You Do When You Fall in Love?"

At this event, nature photographer Takatake Terazawa and painter and author Hiroshi Abe will hold a museum talk about the ecology of the spectacle-spotted seabird, a bird that lives on Teuri Island in Hokkaido and has a unique courtship method, and the appeal of seabirds themselves.

This program also allows you to enjoy "Aquarium of Love at Night" at your leisure, along with "Keimafuri" (Takasago Sake Brewery), a pure rice sake that was conceived by Terasawa to spread the appeal of "Keimafuri" and whose label was illustrated by Abe.

Content: AOAO SAPPORO biology staff will talk about northern rockhopper penguin pairs and their courtship behavior.

Special exhibition "Aquarium of Love - What should I do if I fall in love?"
As the penguins move from courtship to breeding season, a special exhibition entitled "Aquarium of Love - What should you do if you fall in love?" will be held, themed on the mystery of courtship behavior in animals. From 10am to 6pm, the exhibition will focus on "animal love", and from 6pm to 10pm, the exhibition entitled "Aquarium of Love at Night" will consider "human love" in addition to animals.
