This is a ceremony to purify the deity, in which a "Sarutahiko" wearing a vermilion costume and a Tengu mask leads the way through the town. The sounds of loud drums and light flutes reverberate throughout the area, and at night, the Tengu firewalk is performed, and when the fire is lit, the pillar of fire reaches a height of about 3 meters.

Sarutahiko walks across the fire, kicking up sparks of fire, drawing loud cheers from the audience. The lion dance and mikoshi then walk across the fire, bringing the festival to a climax. This is the most famous festival representing Furubira Town.
