Hiroyuki Ito is CEO of Crypton Future Media, Inc., known as the developer of "Hatsune Miku." As part of the Hokkaido University 150th anniversary celebrations, a talk and autograph session will be held to celebrate the release of Ito's book "The Future of Creation: How "Hatsune Miku" Was Born in Hokkaido." Ito encountered the Internet while working as a staff member at Hokkaido University, and founded Crypton Future Media in 1995 as a venture company spun out of Hokkaido University.

During the talk session, Professor Masato Yamamoto of the Autonomous Systems Engineering Laboratory, which is the successor to the laboratory that Mr. Ito belonged to when he was a staff member of our university, will also be on stage to talk about Mr. Ito's experience at Hokkaido University, how he came to start his own company, and the future of AI and creativity. After the talk, there will also be an autograph session with Mr. Ito.
