The "Hokkaido's Left-Rising Rumoi Fair," which will promote Rumoi region specialties through tastings, sample distribution, and sales, will be held at the East Japan Collaboration Center (Marumaru Higashinihon) on Saturday, September 6th and Sunday, September 7th. Located in northwest Hokkaido, the Rumoi region faces the Sea of Japan and stretches approximately 130 km north to south and 60 km east to west. Taking advantage of the different natural conditions in the north and south, the region is blessed with abundant food resources, with a wide variety of agricultural activities, including rice, field crops, vegetables, fruit, dairy farming, and beef, as well as a diverse fishing industry, including scallops, octopus, flounder, salmon, shrimp, and cod.
