This shocking and controversial work, depicting the "light and darkness of media" left behind by author Nozawa Hisashi, is being adapted for the stage for the first time!

This work is based on a novel published in 2002, and a television drama based on the novel that was broadcast on the TV Asahi network in 2004 and sparked great controversy.

In today's society, where keywords such as media damage, fake news, and flame culture have become commonplace, the paradox that information can drive people into a corner, or that illusions can save them, is highlighted. Now that the rise of social media has accelerated the transmission of information, the light and darkness of the media depicted in this work pierces us even more sharply.

■Story

High school girl Meiko Furuya suddenly takes her own life in a business hotel.
The day before, she had been accused of being the ringleader of a child prostitution ring on a popular news program on Shuto Television. The news anchor who ran the feature, Nagasaka Fumio, was subjected to intense public criticism and was forced to take disciplinary action.
Meanwhile, rival station Toyo Television conducted an exclusive interview with Yahiro Kiichiro, who claims to be Meiko's boyfriend.
"She's innocent. Give me back my niece."
His eyes filled with tears as he pleaded desperately to protect her, transforming him overnight into a "charismatic young man"...
