Greetings

Thanks to the generosity of TO OV cafe/gallery, we are now able to hold an exhibition of four artists living in Minami Ward, entitled "Minami Ward Friends Exhibition."

The purpose of holding this exhibition is to spread the idea that "we want an exhibition facility to be built in the Minami Ward residential area that will allow artists to more actively present their work and provide opportunities for residents and citizens to easily experience art."

What are the conditions for the desired exhibition facility?

It is a place where people gather
No venue fees
- The artist does not need to be present at the exhibition.

In Minami Ward, Sapporo, a plan to redevelop the area in front of Makomanai Station is underway. The aging Minami Ward Office and surrounding public facilities will be reorganized, and a new building called the "Minami Ward Complex Office Building (tentative name)" that will also include a library will be constructed. The plan is to have the building ready for use in fiscal year 2032.

Many artists live in Minami Ward, and we would like to make the work of local artists more widely known. Therefore, we would like to set up an "art show window" in a corner of the planned complex, and we have included an illustration of this concept on the back of the flyer for the "Minami Ward Friends Exhibition."

Art activities are a genre that is difficult to understand, but I hope that through this exhibition we can gain the sympathy of many people and create an "art show window" in Minami Ward.
