Overview

Barbizon School's central artist Jean-François Millet (1814–1875).
Millet was by no means skilled at writing, but by a friend's recommendation, he has left his attitude towards art and his thoughts towards painters and works in letters. In them, joy and conflict in creative activities, and also at times lament and anguish, are spelled out, and the emotional changes of painter Millet and the transitions of his wavering thoughts can be discerned.

In this exhibition, while tracing Millet's words left in correspondence, etc., we will trace his view of art contained in his works and the relationships of the painters of the Barbizon School.
