Overview

The 'Otaru Ushio Matsuri' is a major event that colors the summer in Otaru. This year marks the memorable 60th anniversary, and it will be a 3-day event where you can fully experience the charm and vitality of the port town of Otaru. During the Ushio Furekomi and Ushio Nerikomi, citizens and participants will unite to liven up the town, and on the final day, a magnificent Mikoshi parade and a spectacular grand fireworks display will be held. It is Otaru's largest summer festival, inheriting history and tradition, and can be enjoyed by all generations.
