新釧路川の河川敷から約8000発の花火が打ち上げられます。打ち上げられた｢ドーン｣という大きな音が響くと、新釧路川の水面に映し出される多彩な色は幻想的です。ナイアガラ、スターマイン、早打ち、音楽花火など6部構成になっており、豪快かつ魅力的なプログラムはひとつひとつの芸術性も高く観客の目をひくものばかりです。
