The Sapporo Toyohira River Salmon Science Museum is a science museum that features aquarium exhibits of 20 species of salmonids, including Itou, and an outdoor observation pond where you can watch salmon spawning in the fall. The Toyohira River Salmon Science Museum was built to commemorate the revival of the Toyohira River salmon, which had disappeared for a time due to deteriorating water quality.
