A station where you can meet red-crowned cranes
At Chinuma Station, the stationmaster successfully fed red-crowned cranes that had lost their feeding grounds due to flooding in 1964, and since then red-crowned cranes have been flying in every year. In winter, visitors can view the red-crowned cranes with the "SL Winter Marshland" train.
