Benten Historical Park
This park was built as a symbol of Ishikari, which prospered through salmon fishing, on the site of the Ishikari Clinic in conjunction with Benten Historical Street.
In the park, there is Rakuzan-i, which is a reproduction of a Japanese-style room of the old Ishikari Clinic, Unjo-ya, which is a reproduction of the old Unjo-ya building, and a monument honoring those who built the foundation of Ishikari, which provides visitors with an insight into Ishikari of that time. In the Unjo-ya, there is an exhibition that introduces the charms of the Honmachi area and the history of salmon, and from April 29 to November 3, guides are stationed at the Unjo-ya on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays to provide sightseeing information.
