Mt. Monbetsu, 866m above sea level, can be climbed in a relatively short time around Lake Shikotsu, about 2 hours for ascent and 1.5 hours for descent.
From the summit, you can see the mountains around Lake Shikotsu, the city of Sapporo, and even the Sea of Japan.
No parking lot is provided (please use the pay parking lot of Shikotsuko Onsen).
