At Asahikawa City Asahiyama Zoo, we have developed a unique method called 'behavioral exhibition' to bring out the innate superior abilities of each animal. At the same time, by creating an environment close to the wild, we continue our efforts to reduce animal stress and showcase their active movements. For the purpose of allowing visitors to see the natural sight of animals eating their food, we have established 'Mogu-Mogu Time'.

'Mogu-Mogu Time' varies for each animal, so we recommend planning your visit according to the schedule. Additionally, there are seasonal attractions such as the orangutan's aerial walk in summer, the night zoo, and the penguin walk in winter, making it a zoo where you can enjoy and learn throughout the year without getting bored.

The highlights for 2026 are the reopening of the renewed Pallas's Cat House, the newly established 'Waku-Waku Plaza' with concept playground equipment where you can experience the abilities of animals in two locations, and 'Everyone's Plaza' with inclusive playground equipment for all to play.
