SPOT
Lake Nukabira
shows its appearance in each of the four seasons.
Lake Nukabira is a man-made dammed lake completed in 1956. In the fall, the lake's surface is illuminated by the autumn leaves of the trees.
■Fishermen can also enjoy the lake all year round.
In winter, anglers can enjoy wakasagi fishing from the frozen surface of the lake. In summer, anglers can enjoy fishing for cherry salmon and rainbow trout.
Mysterious Mushroom Ice
Lake Nukabira was originally a forest. The trees were cut down to create a dam, and there is a phenomenon where the ice from Lake Nukabira is placed on the stumps of the trees that were cut down. The ice is called "mushroom ice" because it looks like a mushroom's bulk.
