Lake Nukabira
It shows different appearances throughout the seasons
Lake Nukabira is an artificial dam lake that was completed in 1956. In autumn, the autumn leaves of the trees are reflected on the lake's surface.
Anglers can also enjoy the lake all year round. In winter, you can fish for smelt from the frozen surface of the lake, and in summer, you can fish for cherry salmon, rainbow trout, and other fish.
The area where Lake Nukabira is located was originally a forest, but trees were cut down to build a dam. There is a phenomenon where frozen ice from Lake Nukabira sits on the stumps of the cut trees. This ice looks just like a mushroom cap, so it is called "mushroom ice."
