Numata Town Fossil Experience Hall

As its name suggests, it is not a facility for viewing, but aims to be a facility for experiencing.
Inside the building, there is a special corner where you can experience simulated excavation of Takahashi Scallop fossils collected from a 5-million-year-old stratum of Numata Town, and you can clean them and take them home after excavation.
Also, in the practical training room, you can experience mini excavation and replica making anytime. Mini excavation is something where you dig out small fossils and crystals from inside a lump of soil. Replicas are made by creating lifelike plaster models of Takahashi Scallops and ammonites. This is an advantageous system where you can experience any one of these menus with just the admission fee.
In the exhibition room, reconstructed skeletons of ancient creatures discovered from Numata Town are also lined up, such as a gigantic plesiosaur with an overall length of 12 meters, which will tickle the hearts of dinosaur fans.
