Sandan-no-taki Waterfall is located about 10 km upstream from the Etai-betsu Dam and about 5 km from the trailhead (Shotsamanbetsu Forest Road) of Mt. To enter Etaibetsu, follow the Shotsambetsu Forest Road for about 2 km and descend from a tributary.
The forest road has a gate, so you will have to walk from the middle of the road.
The waterfall is full of water and makes a powerful roaring sound, but only two steps can be seen from the bottom. There are waterfalls upstream, but none larger than this one.
