SPOT
This is a large camellia tree over 150 years old, reportedly planted in the late Edo period.
Located in the garden of the Kurihara family in Izumisawa, Kikonai-cho, it boasts countless blossoms in early May.
In 1972, it was designated as a commemorative protected tree by Hokkaido as a tree that represents the history of Kikonai Town.
