SPOT
Blastwood Park
Blastwood Park is 20 hectares in size, with large oak trees over 200 years old providing great shade and a place of relaxation for both people and animals. The park has a vivid green lawn that looks as if it is carpeted with carpet. In spring, cherry blossoms and Ezo murasaki azaleas are in full bloom, and in summer, the fountain with a slide is filled with the cheers of children. There is a tourist information center and a store called "Koropokkuru" that sells cold drinks. There is also a place where barbecues are available in the park.
The giant oak tree in Mamuro Park was designated as a special natural monument by the town in 1973, and in 1979, "Kashiwa" was designated as the town tree. In addition, in March 2006, it was recognized as a "Meimuro Heritage" as "Meimuro Park and Oak Trees".
