Memuro Park
Memuro Park, with a size of 20ha, where large oak trees of tree age 200 years or more make large shade, and which is becoming a place of rest for people and also for animals. It is a park where the green of the lawn, like a carpet spread out, is vivid. In spring, cherry blossoms and Ezo purple azaleas bloom in profusion, and in summer, a fountain with a slide also becomes lively with the cheers of children. There is a tourist information center and a shop "Koropokkuru", and cold drinks are also sold. Also, there are also places where barbecue inside the park can be used.
The giant oak tree of Memuro Park, in Showa 48, was designated as a town-designated Special Natural Monument, and in Showa 54, "kashiwa" was established as the town's tree. Also, in March Heisei 18, it was certified as "Memuro Heritage" as "Memuro Park and the Oak Trees".
