Urakawa Thoroughbred Road

The Nishi-Horobetsu district in the Hidaka-Horobetsu River basin and the Ogibushi district in the Motoura River basin are large pastureland areas as far as the eye can see, and are known by the nickname "Thoroughbred Road.
The Hidaka region produces about 80% of the nation's racehorses, and Urakawa Town is the "home of Yushun" with a history of producing famous horses for about 100 years.
In this town rich in nature with idyllic scenery, a relaxed and gentle time is passed between thoroughbreds and people.
