Yushun Sakura Road
Overview
From the entrance to Yushun no Sato Park, more than 1,000 Siberian cherry trees line both sides of the road for about 3 km. When in full bloom, the cherry blossom tunnel is a delight to the eyes of all visitors.
In an effort to raise awareness of this row of cherry trees, the townspeople were asked to suggest a new name in April 2004, and the road was named "Yushun Sakura Road."
The best time to see the cherry blossoms is usually in early May, when the Urakawa Cherry Blossom Festival is held. During the festival, the cherry blossoms are lit up, allowing you to enjoy a fantastic nighttime view.
