Kushiro City Zoo
Overview
With the motto 'Interacting with life, spinning life,' it is the largest-scale zoo within Hokkaido, which has been familiarized by local residents and tourists. In the Hokkaido Zone, brown bears and Blakiston's fish owls and red-crowned cranes, etc., animals unique to Hokkaido can be observed closely, and jointly with zoos of nationwide, polar bear's breeding plans also are being actively promoted.
