Kushiro City Red-crowned Crane Nature Park
This is a natural park for the rare Japanese crane, where artificial hatching of red-crowned cranes was successfully carried out for the first time in the world in 1970. The park is home to around 10 Japanese cranes, a special natural monument, which are kept in a natural environment and can be observed all year round. From April to June, you may be able to see chicks, and you may be able to see the rare sight of red-crowned cranes raising their young. The park is conveniently located about 10 minutes by car from Tancho Kushiro Airport.
