Hundred Year Trees
Overview
The giant trees scattered throughout Date City are designated as "Hundred Year Trees" and are a monument of Date City. These trees include some rare trees in Hokkaido that were transplanted on a trial basis when the Watari Date family moved to the area. These trees, which have taken root in this land since ancient times and have a variety of historical significance, continue to watch over people's lives today.
