Yutopia Usubetsu Onsen
A hot spring with a sense of seclusion
A hot spring with a sense of seclusion located deep in the mountains on a tributary of the Usubetsu River. It has a history of more than 200 years dating back to the Ainu period, and is currently popular with locals and tourists alike. There is no caretaker on duty and no lighting at night, so it is recommended to use the hot spring during natural lighting hours. There are an open-air bath and an indoor bath separated by a large rock and a wall. Enjoy the natural hot spring water, which is not circulated, heated, or watered at all, in the midst of nature. The baths are closed during the winter season (ⅻ- April). There is no charge, but a cleaning fee of 100 yen is required when bathing.
