Taisei Local History Museum
This museum is attached to the library and has exhibits related to the former Taisei Town, which has the oldest history of the three districts of Setsunacho. On display are materials related to the local performing art "Kwon Kagura," which is designated as a tangible cultural property of the town, and materials related to "Enku Shonin," a Minoan monk who is recorded to have visited Mount Ota in 1666 and carved many wooden Buddhist statues in the rock cave while on his pilgrimage. Several earthenware, stoneware, and other artifacts from the "Miyako Site" and other sites excavated in Taisei-ku, as well as fishing equipment actually used to introduce the fishing and processing methods of the herring fishery in Kwon. WIFI is available at the facility.
