The official name of the museum is "Kushiro City Fisheries Reference Room.
As the name suggests, the museum exhibits historical materials, DVDs, fishing equipment, and dioramas related to Kushiro's fisheries, allowing visitors to enjoy learning about Kushiro, one of Japan's leading fishing towns.
Admission is free, and there is a cafeteria on the first floor where you can taste fresh seafood, and an observation deck on the fifth floor where you can enjoy a 360-degree view of Kushiro.
