Yonemachi Hometown Museum

Built in 1900 by a seafood merchant as a store and residence, this is the oldest wooden house still standing in Kushiro. Inside the house, you can sense the prosperity of the fishing industry at the time, and materials relating to Ishikawa Takuboku, who had ties to Yonemachi, as well as photographs from the Meiji and Taisho periods are on display. Why not drop in and spend some quiet time soaking in nostalgia?
