Located on the third floor of Kushiro City Lifelong Learning Center (Manabotto Himai) on the hill of Himai-cho overlooking Kushiro City, the museum is well known as an art museum rooted in the community. The museum holds about 10 exhibitions a year, including special exhibitions, special exhibitions, and petit collé. The museum collects and researches artworks related to the region, and holds the "Kushiro Local Artists Exhibition" on a regular basis.
