Overview
The village-run nature park, Akaiwa Seigankyo, is attractive for its unique scenery created by huge red and blue rocks. In particular, during the autumn foliage season from late September to early October, the maple trees, the village's tree, turn red and yellow, further enhancing the scenery. In recent years, rafting on the Mukawa River has become popular, and you can enjoy the magnificent scenery even from a boat. It is also a popular spot as a mecca for rock climbing.
