Yubari Shuparo Dam
Overview
The "Yubari Shuparo Dam" is a gravity-type concrete multi-purpose dam with an embankment height (dam height) of 110.6m completed in 2014. This dam has five roles: flood control, maintenance of the normal function of running water, irrigation water, water supply, and power generation. Around the dam, cyclists can enjoy the scenery and see Ezo squirrels, falcons, and goshawks. On a clear autumn day, beautiful autumn leaves and Mt. Yubari can be seen, and visitors can walk along the dam's embankment top.
