■Downstream Park / Observation Deck
Surrounded by mountains, eat your lunch at the park plaza! Climb to the top of the dam embankment from here, and you can see the dam lake, Lake SAPPORO. This is a great spot for viewing the autumn foliage in fall. The trailhead for Mt. Kotengu is also located here.
Museum
A diorama model of the dam construction and panels and models of the natural environment around the dam are on display. Visitors can learn about the water supply system and power generation through easy-to-understand explanations using video and hands-on equipment, and experience a manual power generation system that shows the amount of electricity generated.
